"I have spent over thirty years trying to unravel the complexities of Government, to expose it's short-comings and, occasionally, to praise it's successes. It's my job. Michael and Henrietta Spink have spent Henry and Freddie's entire lives doing that, and more. Nature, or something, dealt them the most difficult of challenges, vested in two beautiful, loving boys. The Spinks have dedicated their lives to bettering their boys' lives; and, in so doing, established the Trust which extends that care, love, dedication and thoughtfulness to countless others. I am blessed to know them and honoured to support them, without reservation."

Henrietta and her family's journey is heart breaking and amazingly wonderful. I admire and applaud their true, unconditional love and dedication to their sons."

"Most of us go through life without realising the difficulties experienced by those who have some form of physical or mental disability. It is only when we confront problems either with our family or friends that we realise how taxing life can be for such individuals. It is then that we can be really grateful for organisations such as the Henry Spink Foundation who work tirelessly to ease suffering and to enable many people to have a full and satisfying life."

My wife Shane and I met the Spink family on a rain soddened August Bank Holiday, at a boathouse in a remote part of Cornwall, the floor was slippy and uneven the river slapping up the slipway, but it seemed to me that the Spinks wouldn't let a bit of rain spoil their day. Watching them get out of their vehicle was a military operation, but they with their two very special boys, Henry and Freddie and their carers worked as a team. The Henry Spink Foundation is an independent charity which was created to help families of severely disabled children - I saw this in operation on that soddened Bank Holiday. Henry and Freddie had fun and so did their parents - to see Freddie smile, lit up the afternoon - but it's not always been like this - for Mr & Mrs Spink had to fight local government, bureaucrats and the NHS to get their children the help they deserved - They want to pass on this information, through the Foundation which has an immense database - international research, alternative therapies and much much more...
